Important tips on how you can safeguard and protect your PIN:

  • Never reveal your PIN to anyone
  • Never use the same IDEAL™ PIN for other web-based services
  • Select a unique PIN so it's difficult for anyone to guess (e.g. not to use birth dates or phone numbers)
  • Do not use sequential or repetitive numbers (e.g. 123456 or 111111)
  • Memorise your PIN. Do not write it down or store it
  • Change your PIN regularly by using the Administration Services > My Tasks > Change of PIN service (minimum six digits, maximum nine digits)
  • Change your PIN immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access
  • Before entering your User ID and PIN, check that the site you are visiting belongs to DBS by verifying that the URL displayed in the Internet browser is correct
  • Ensure that IDEAL™ URL is preceded by "https" and there should be a security icon that looks like a lock or key on the Internet browser
  • Use the latest Internet browser for updated security features
  • Avoid storing Organisation ID/User ID/PIN in your browser's cache
  • Avoid using shared/public computers to access IDEAL™
  • Ensure your anti-virus software is updated regularly against the latest Trojan viruses

Important tips on how you can safeguard and protect your DBS Bank (Taiwan) Ltd IDEAL™ Security Device:

  • Never reveal your IDEAL™ Security Device PIN to anyone.
  • Each IDEALTM Security Device is unique and tagged to your User ID. You will not be able to use another person's registered security device to input as your IDEAL™ Security Access Code.
  • Do not leave your IDEAL™ Security Device unattended and always keep it under lock and key when not in use.
  • Never tamper with your IDEAL™ Security Device.
  • Change your IDEAL™ Security Device PIN regularly by pressing and holding the red for more than two seconds.

Note:

  • No DBS employee will ever ask you for your PIN for any reason
  • Login to IDEAL™ regularly to ensure that your credentials are valid and active. For security reasons, we may revoke access to IDEAL™ if your authorised representatives do not login to the system for more than a year.

FAQs

Who should be the signatory for my IDEAL™3.0 application forms?

IDEAL™ application forms must be signed by authorised company signatories. If you have multiple signatories, it should be signed by the signatory(ies) with the highest signing mandate.

 

What service charges are levied for IDEAL™3.0?

IDEAL™3.0 customers are charged a setup, monthly maintenance, and security device fee. Please refer to the Pricing tab above for more information.

Can I access IDEAL™3.0 any time?

Yes, IDEAL™3.0 can be accessed at any given time, on any given day, including, weekends and Public Holidays.

Can I access IDEAL™3.0 from overseas?

DBS Bank (Taiwan) Ltd IDEAL™3.0 can be accessed from anywhere in the world as long as you have an Internet connection.

How do I perform basic account management tasks?

Simply download the Maintenance Form and complete the relevant pages in order to perform the following account management tasks:

  • Update account numbers
  • Add, remove or update users
  • Update authorisation policy
  • Modify account settings & other instructions
  • Request for new user login PIN
  • Unlock user access
  • Unlock or replace security devices
  • Add Trade application and notification function
How do I terminate my IDEAL™3.0 access?

In order to terminate your IDEAL™ access, please provide us with an official letter on your company letterhead detailing your request. This letter must be signed by authorised company signatories.

How do I apply?

If you are currently not a DBS Bank (Taiwan) Ltd Corporate Banking customer, you have to apply for a Business Account before you can sign up for IDEAL™3.0. Please use this Account Opening Form to apply for both a Business Account and IDEAL™ 3.0.

If you are already a DBS Bank (Taiwan) Ltd Corporate Banking customer, simply download, unzip and complete the Application Pack in order to sign up for IDEAL™. The pack contains:
