How to keep yourself safe from frauds and scams

Fraudulent and scam activity can happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone. Here are some tips to protect yourself.

When sending money

- Make sure you only add recipients you know personally.

- Always review the payment details (e.g. currency and amount, recipient name, bank and account number).

- Avoid using unsecured or free Wi-Fi network in common areas such as cybercafes, shopping malls, airports and train stations.

Other important tips

- Don't "root" or "jailbreak" your device. Doing so makes your device more prone to security vulnerabilities.

- Only install apps that are downloaded from official app stores. Unofficial app stores may carry malicious apps. The GlobeSend App should only be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

- Don't click on suspicious links as they may carry malware.

- Use a strong password on your device to prevent any unauthorised use.
